A design method of communication between master and slave CPU with the AVR single chip
ATMEGA1280 as master controller and ATMEGA1280 as slave controller. The core of the system is setting signal lamp to realize point-to-point communication between host and extension with ATMEGA1280 to be master system to exchange data with slave system through RS422 interface. Blueprint of hardware and flowchart of software of data exchanging are given in the article. It is proved to be very reliable after experiment to satisfy the request of communication between host and extension in the airborne imaging device.
